We are currently seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and compassionate Locum Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team.
As a Trauma Surgeon, you will be responsible for managing and treating patients who have experienced physical trauma.
You will be at the forefront of providing immediate medical attention to patients suffering from acute injuries or illnesses that require urgent intervention.
This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care, excellent surgical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
1.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with critical injuries or severe illnesses.
2.
Perform emergency surgical procedures to treat life-threatening conditions.
3.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
4.
Participate in trauma quality improvement programs and clinical research activities.
5.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in trauma surgery and related medical fields.
6.
Educate and supervise medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
7.
Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
8.
Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients and their families during difficult times.
9.
Participate in on-call duties and be available for immediate response to emergencies.
Qualifications:
1.
A Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
2.
A valid and active medical license to practice in the state.
3.
Board certification in General Surgery and additional certification in Trauma Surgery.
4.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Trauma Surgeon.
5.
Proficiency in performing complex surgical procedures.
6.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
7.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
8.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9.
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
10.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
